The blue jay is a highly alert bird that I call the neighborhood watchman. They shriek at any and all intruders and are very protective of their young. The jay here looks very relaxed eating one of his favorite foods. Oh, indeed he has spied me, but surmised that I am no threat. Go on lil’ bluebird, enjoy your snack.
