I loved painting this eagle from a photo my friend Jim Brown took. It reminds me of the verse: “But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint” Isaiah 40:31 The phrase mount up is a translation of the Hebrew word ˈalah, which means “to go up, ascend, to go up over a boundary.” God gives us the promise that He will provide renewed strength and courage to overcome obstacles if we have patience and trust in the Him and His perfect timing.
