I grew up with bluebirds frolicking in our WI backyard, so for this 1 oz., blue, feathered, delight, there will always be a special place in my heart. And although I may not always capture them in my view finder, I can assuredly identify them by their sweet melodies. On one of my serendipitous bicycle outings in Naples, a happening on a fence line caught my attention. These two little boys chatting energetically back and forth in the sunny autumn afternoon made me giggle. Such social and family-oriented creatures they are! This is perhaps why the bluebird has become a global symbol of hope. WL Dawson, an inspirational music composer wrote, “Reflecting heaven from his back and the ground from his breast, he floats between sky and earth like the winged voice of hope.”
