As the official bird of seven US states the northern cardinal is a bird almost everyone loves. They’re usually found in pairs singing cheerful melodies as was the friendly couple depicted. I think it must be the companionship the two birds demonstrate that provokes a smile as visitors approach. I love the colors of both birds!
